4. For silicon carbide rod furnaces, if the silicon carbide rods are found to be damaged, replace them with new silicon carbide rods with the same specification and similar resistance value. When replacing, first remove the protective covers at both ends and the chucks of the silicon carbide rods, and then take out the damaged silicon carbide rods. Since the silicon carbide rods are easy to break, care must be taken during installation. Tighten it so that it makes good contact with the silicon carbide rod. If the chuck is severely oxidized, it should be replaced with a new one. The gaps at the installation holes at both ends of the silicon carbide rods should be blocked with asbestos ropes.
5. The furnace temperature of the box-type atmosphere furnace shall not exceed the maximum working temperature. Silicon carbide rods are allowed to work continuously for 4 hours at high temperature. After the box-type furnace has been used for a long time, if the heating power adjustment knob is adjusted clockwise to the maximum position, the heating current still cannot be increased. If it is far from the rated value and cannot reach the required heating power, it means that the silicon carbide rod is aging. At this time, the silicon carbide rods in series can be changed to parallel, and they can still be used. It is not necessary to disassemble the silicon carbide rod when changing the connection method, but only need to change the connection method, and after changing the connection method, pay attention to slowly adjusting the heating power adjustment button when using, and the heating current value must not exceed the rated value.
